Each pillow is made using a centuries-old wax-resist dyeing method — hot wax applied by hand to cotton fabric, then submerged in dye to reveal the pattern beneath. The result is a surface of chevrons, grid marks, and scattered dots that carries the particular quality of something made one at a time. Four colorways — Golden, Red Earth, Volcanic Grey, and Marine Blue — are drawn from natural, earthen references, each one settling differently against linen, leather, or bare wood.
Because every piece is hand-printed, the wax lines shift slightly from pillow to pillow — a mark of process, not inconsistency, that makes each one its own.

You reach for it without thinking — shifting it behind your back, propping it under your arm. The batik pattern catches the afternoon light, and for a moment you actually notice it, the way the wax lines broke just so, the chevrons slightly imperfect and all the more interesting for it.
