The cotton surface has a textured, looped feel underfoot from day one, and it continues to soften and absorb more with every wash.
Woven on a loom in Ethiopia from hand-spun cotton, each mat carries the natural variation that comes with individual hand production. Stripe spacing and selvedge edges will differ slightly from mat to mat. The gray stripe detailing is dyed with AZO-free colorants, a specific dye-safety attribute worth knowing about in a product that lives on a wet bathroom floor.
