Shaped after the spare bottles that populated Giorgio Morandi's studio still lifes, this vase is thrown from locally sourced clay and fired at high temperature — a process that draws out the raw earth tones without interference from exterior glaze. The outer surface is left entirely unglazed, carrying the natural speckle and warm variation of the clay itself, while the interior is sealed with a glaze to hold water. Each piece moves through the kiln differently, meaning the final tone — ranging from sandy ochre to deep cinnamon — is shaped as much by heat and clay blend as by the maker's hands.
Because no two firings produce identical results, each vase arrives with its own particular warmth and surface character — minor shifts in shade and texture are part of what makes it yours.

One stem, one bottle, one quiet corner
A single dried branch or fresh sprig dropped into the narrow neck — and suddenly the shelf has a reason to exist. The unglazed surface catches afternoon light the way old studio objects do: without trying.
