Stoneware Ceramic Hanging Planter

Built-in drainage. No saucer required.

The integrated drainage system means water moves through properly — no guesswork, no root rot, no drip tray balanced on a windowsill. The U-form silhouette is architectural enough to hold its own on a bare wall. Eight glaze options mean it works as a quiet neutral or a deliberate color note.

About This Piece

Thrown and finished by hand in a Milwaukee studio, the Portico planter is built around a distinctive U-form silhouette — rounded at the base, open at the top, with a cord threaded through for hanging. The stoneware ceramic construction carries a glazed or matte finish depending on colorway, and an integrated drainage system keeps roots healthy without a separate saucer. Available in eight glazes, from a high-shine chrome to soft matte dune.

Styling note

A little guidance from our edit

Hang two at slightly different heights in a sunny corner — one in a matte glaze, one in a contrasting finish — and let trailing vines do the rest of the work.
