About This Piece

It is made by reusing old wooden canisters that were used to hold spices, etc., so each item has a different size, shape, and details. Because it is old, there are cracks, stains, holes, etc., but we have made minimal repairs and made the most of the texture as it is. Since the glass cylinders inside are handmade one by one according to each size and shape, there may be distortions, bubbles, chips, etc. It is not tempered glass or heat-resistant glass.

Where It Fits Best

A quick read on the product's aesthetic fit, the rooms it suits, and the ways it works best.

Style

  • Rustic and artisanal in character, with lathe-turned wooden forms showing exposed grain, turning rings, and aged patina ranging from pale sandy beige to deep walnut brown
  • The wide cylindrical body tapering to a flared disc collar gives the vessel a considered turned-wood silhouette suited to wabi-sabi, organic modern, or Japandi interiors
  • Natural imperfections and minimal repairs are treated as surface character rather than flaws, aligning with a wabi-sabi or slow-craft aesthetic

Rooms

  • Living room, entryway, or dining table as a botanical display vessel for fresh or dried stems
  • Well-suited to shelving or console styling in spaces with natural, organic, or minimalist decor

Best For

  • Use as a decorative vase for fresh cut flowers, dried botanicals, or sculptural branches
  • Display as a standalone decorative object or in a grouped tabletop vignette
  • Not suitable for use with hot liquids or as a heat-bearing vessel due to non-tempered, non-heat-resistant glass

Styling note

A little guidance from our edit

Use with eucalyptus, dried pampas, or tall sculptural branches to let the vessel's aged wood texture read clearly. Group two or three together at varied heights on a console or dining table for a collected, organic look. The warm brown tones pair well with linen, rattan, and other natural-material objects nearby.
