Each Egeo vase is wheel-thrown by hand from a carefully mixed blend of local clays — no colorant, no glaze on the outside. The warm, speckled earth tones across the exterior are drawn entirely from the raw clay body itself, shaped by the proportions of each blend and the heat of the kiln. Inside, a soft celadon-toned glaze seals the form and catches the light differently than the matte outer skin. The silhouette is full and rounded at the shoulder, narrowing to a short cylindrical neck — generous enough for a loose handful of stems, considered enough to hold its own on a shelf without them.
Because each piece is thrown individually and fired without surface pigment, the tone and texture of every vase will vary slightly — no two will read exactly the same.

A vase that needs nothing in it to look right
Set it on the shelf empty on a Tuesday and it still holds the room. Add a few dried grasses or a single stem cut short, and it settles in like it was always there.
